What is a smartphone and can we afford it?

Why smartphones are the most hyped product these days? Just a simple answer. People use smartphone on a daily-basis for communications, social networking, business and maybe it's just a trend to own a smartphone but can we afford to buy it?

Let's take a look back.
Motorola introduced the world's first commercial portable cellular phone and then came other companies to join and be called the mobile phone king of the generation but do you still remember that clicky-toned keypads that we used back in the days, that bulky small phone we love and that bulky phone even dropped in a height of 6 feet  won't break at all. Thanks to that mobile company that stands-out when it comes to phones back in the 90's and early 20's. The company is Nokia, Nokia brought different cellphones on the market ranging from budget to mid-range to high-end phones. But that's not enough for Nokia to hold its ground because many mobile companies are competing to be on top. But as time goes, Nokia has highs and lows. Other companies are innovating phones. Companies like Apple, Samsung, BlackBerry, Sony Xperia, LG, HTC, Motorola and now Google.

And then Apple came along the battle on the mobile industry to compete with other mobile companies, it was a success when Steve Jobs the former co-founder, chairman, and CEO of Apple Inc. when he announced the much innovative smartphone ever. It is their iPhone line-up, it was said that the iPhone is much smarter than ever,  much smarter with other mobile phone and much innovative than other smartphones. Is it worth joining the battle? well, Yes. Apple did boomed the mobile industry, earning huge amount of money and earning more loyal costumers.
As time passes by other people want something new, the new when incomes to hardware, software and more innovative than the iPhone, Samsung brought that "something new" that people demands and they introduced their Galaxy and Note line-up that wowed the general market until now, bringing new form factor that people loved, new software updates and a huge amount of features that they don't get from iPhones.

But wait there's more, like Apple and Samsung other mobile companies joined the battle like LG, Motorola, Google Nexus, BlackBerry, Sony Xperia, Nokia, HTC and many more, the battle for that one spot to be known as the 'Best Smartphone ever" they made their own high-end smartphone line-up that can compete to other mobile companies, by yearly upgrading them and bringing a new form factor and much innovative smartphone that other mobile companies lacks.

But is it enough to just bring high-end smartphones on the market? but as a general market, we all have that one question. "How much is it?" Well, Smartphones don't come cheap at all, smartphones do pack high-end specifications but usually packs more value. Other companies has the answer for that "How much is it?" question by bringing budget-friendly smartphones but somehow not a high-end smartphone but a mid-range smartphone. By having budget-friendly smartphones people now can buy smartphones without spending a huge amount of money. Many mobile companies realized that they need a budget-friendly smartphone and now they brought budget-friendly smartphone on the market, Yes! Mobile companies that offers a great budget-friendly smartphone and somehow gives you a mid-high end specifications are LG, Samsung, Apple, Sony Xperia, BlackBerry, Nokia, HTC and the two most ever famous for their budget-friendly smartphones the Google Nexus and Motorola.

But as time passes by mobile companies will keep on innovating smartphones just to bring a new and refreshed smartphones that people will be drooling for and will be spending huge amount of money.

Just a tip:
We use smartphones on a daily-basis for communications, business, social networking and for media. We sometimes can't afford those high-end smartphones for there high price. If you just go for communications like sms, calling, social networking that wont require a huge specification just go for the budget price smartphone, but if you're a business man or a person that wants a huge specs on a smartphone then you should go for a high-end smartphone.

"We all have different opinions and craze about a certain product if you have the money then go for the high-end but if you're on a tight budget just buy the mid-range with its budget-friendly price"

iPod nano 6th generation is a tiny like box watch face that offers a touch capabilities but you can buy a strap that lets you use it as a watch plus it supports the Nike+ for iPods, so Apple is in wearable tech back then.

Concept of Thomas Bogner that looks like a combined Nike Fuelband with iOS capabilities with its home button.
Rumors has it that the next iOS (iOS8) will support a fitness tracking called “Healthbook” so Apple is really taking part of wearable tech due to a huge demand.
According to Tim Cook ” We will be getting new categories this year “
