Samsung Gear 2 Neo

Another Gear from Samsung? Now it's the Gear 2 Neo.


Samsung then again announced another smart watch at the Mobile World Congress but now the Gear 2 Neo with its cool bright orange color.

Samsung managed to slim down the built factor of the Gear 2 Neo, it is much slimmer than the Gear 2, but having the slim form factor comes some sacrifices with the Gear 2 Neo having no camera. The bright side is the Gear 2 Neo is elegant and with its rubberized strap it doesn't look cheap at all. 

The Gear 2 Neos shares similar specification with its bigger brother the original Galaxy Gear 1, with its 1.63-inch, 320x320 pixel resolution display and 278 pixels per inch. The interface of the Gear 2 Neo does support the Tizen OS and Samsung promised that hundreds of apps will be made available at launch. The good news is even you have an old Samsung device you can pair the Gear 2 Neo with it, Samsung says you can pair the Gear 2 Neo with 20 different Samsung devices. 

The Gear 2 Neo houses great specifications with its 1GHz dual-core CPU, with the untouched 512MB RAMS. Samsung says teh battery will last for 5 days.

Samsung Gear 2

A new Gear from Samsung, it's the Samsung Gear 2!


Samsung announced not one but three smart watches but we not focus on the Gear 2 because the Gear 2 is an upgrade from the original Galaxy Gear, with the Gear 2 having a beast specifications and a huge difference in the design factor.

The Gear 2 supports 2.3 x 1.5 x 0.39 inches much slimmer than the Galaxy Gear with its 2.2 x 1.4 x 0.43 inches, the Gear 2 looks more elegant and much more lighter and it supports a home / back button. The Gear 2 is now IP67-certified, and water resistant and you can use it while swimming or in the shower.

Samsung made an improvement when it comes to the camera of the Gear 2, it now houses a 2MP camera and capable of 1920 x 1080p video recording, the camera is now located on the watch itself not like the original Galaxy Gear which is placed on the strap.

The Gear 2 supports a huge upgrade in-terms of specifications 1 GHz dual-core processor, and 512 MB of RAM, it's huge specs for just a smart watch that will keep you running. It will last for 3 days in just a single charge.

The new Gear 2 runs the new Samsung OS the Tizen OS, they said that it will offer hundreds of app at launch date.

Gear 2 adds some new features with infrared sensor that can help you use your watch as a remote for you TV, pedometer to let you track your fitness activities and media controls.

A new smart wear from Sony, The Sony SmartBand SWR10.

Sony announced the SmartBand SWR10 at the Mobile World Congress with its smartphone line-up.
This smart wear is one innovative way of Sony by introducing its Life logging wristband that lets you log your daily activities, your communications, entertainment, log special events and watch every events on your Android device.

The SmartBand itself weighs only 21 grams, it requires you to have Android KitKat to be able to view your daily activities on your Android device. The SmartBand lets you plan your activities, It will show you your call and text notifications by just a simple vibrate, use it as a media control. Sony made it a Fitness tracking device that you can measure your steps and calculate your calorie burn. It is also a waterproof and the design is perfect and you can wear the SmartBand 24/7 to log your day.



The Sony SmartBand comes with an app called "LifeLog" this app will monitor your everyday activities, lets you plan your day, record your special events and lets you remind your physical activities and you can see if you've been riding, cycling, walking, running and even monitor how hours you've slept.

Sony SmartBand SWR10 will be globally available from March 2014, the color availability for now is Black but Sony says more colors will be available in the launch date.
