HTC's Desire 610 and 816 mid-range line-up

HTC's Desire 610 and 816 joins the mid-range category


HTC announced not only one but two plasticky mid-range smartphones and budget friendly smartphones namely HTC Desire 610 and HTC Desire 816, HTC joins the party by launching its mid-range line-up at the Mobile World Congress to compete with other companies that offers mid-range smartphones like the Xperia M2, LG G2 mini, and many more. The HTC Desire 610 will be the mid-low range device and while the HTC Desire 816 will be the mid-high device and will get a refreshed version in the near future.

The Desire 610 comes with 4.7-inch qHD display, supporting it with Snapdragon 400 processor with four Kraits running at 1.2 GHz, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage and an expandable storage up to 64GB via microSD card, it will run the Android Jelly Bean with HTC UI, the camera houses 8 megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 1.3 megapixel front facing not bad for selfies. The feature that stands out the most with its mid-low range level is the 4G LTE connectivity.

While the HTC Desire 816 the bigger brother of the Desire 610 lines in the phablet smartphone catergory with its 5.5” screen with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels, a size of 156.6 x 78.7 x 7.99mm and weighs about 165g, it is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with a 1.6GHz quad-core CPU and Adreno 305 GPU. with 1.5GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage, expandable microSD. 

The connectivity of the Desire 816 hosts Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n with Wi-Fi Direct and 4G LTE connectivity. The HTC Desire UI will come with its Sense 5.5 out of the box and powered by it 2,600mAh battery.

The HTC desire houses its 13MP rear camera and 5MP front facing camera for great selfies and get ready for the selfie season from HTC Desire 816 because the Desire 816 will be available in April.
