HTC's Desire 610 and 816 mid-range line-up

HTC's Desire 610 and 816 joins the mid-range category

HTC announced not only one but two plasticky mid-range smartphones and budget friendly smartphones namely HTC Desire 610 and HTC Desire 816, HTC joins the party by launching its mid-range line-up at the Mobile World Congress to compete with other companies that offers mid-range smartphones like the Xperia M2, LG G2 mini, and many more. The HTC Desire 610 will be the mid-low range device and while the HTC Desire 816 will be the mid-high device and will get a refreshed version in the near future.

The Desire 610 comes with 4.7-inch qHD display, supporting it with Snapdragon 400 processor with four Kraits running at 1.2 GHz, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage and an expandable storage up to 64GB via microSD card, it will run the Android Jelly Bean with HTC UI, the camera houses 8 megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 1.3 megapixel front facing not bad for selfies. The feature that stands out the most with its mid-low range level is the 4G LTE connectivity.

While the HTC Desire 816 the bigger brother of the Desire 610 lines in the phablet smartphone catergory with its 5.5” screen with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels, a size of 156.6 x 78.7 x 7.99mm and weighs about 165g, it is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with a 1.6GHz quad-core CPU and Adreno 305 GPU. with 1.5GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage, expandable microSD. 

The connectivity of the Desire 816 hosts Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n with Wi-Fi Direct and 4G LTE connectivity. The HTC Desire UI will come with its Sense 5.5 out of the box and powered by it 2,600mAh battery.

The HTC desire houses its 13MP rear camera and 5MP front facing camera for great selfies and get ready for the selfie season from HTC Desire 816 because the Desire 816 will be available in April.

The Sony Xperia Z2 was announced at MWC 2014 in Barcelona a new flagship phone from Sony. Sony took over the general market by storm when they announced their 1st flagship phone the Xperia Z1 and then later  followed by a slight upgrade regarding the screen sizes with the Xperia Z Ultra and Xperia Z1 Compact.

The Sony Xperia Z2 house a great upgrade from the Z1, The Xperia Z2 houses and 5.2 inch Full HD screen with Live color LED, running Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 2.3GHz Krait CPUs inside, Adreno 330 GPU, 3GB of RAM, for the camera it houses 20.7MP with 1/2.-type Exmor RS for mobile CMOS image sensor and a G lens and it shoots in 4k video recording, 4G LTE, NFC capability, a large 3200mAh battery and the most ever famous Xperia line-up feature is the Waterproof capability.

The Sony Xperia Z2 will be available in March of 2014 globally and more detailed reviews as soon as possible.

Huawei TalkBand B1

Wearable technology is a huge hype these days and top companies like Pebble, Samsung, LG and Sony unveiled their wearable tech. To be specific a smart watch that can interact with you and your phone and can track your daily fitness activities, but Huawei is up for the game to compete with the huge companies by unveiling their Huawei TalkBand B1 at MWC 2014 in Barcelona.

The Huawei TalkBand B1 lets you talk while tracking your daily activities and it connects to you smartphone via Blue tooth and  a wristband that you can wear everyday. The Huawei TalkBand B1 can track your calorie counts, fitness levels and even your sleep patterns and Huawei even doubles it as a Bluetooth headset but you need to download a specific app only for Android and an up-coming app for different platforms and it offers a microphone but its not a touch band but supports a button-navigation.

Specifications for the Huawei TalkBand B1, it supports a 1.4" Film OLED with its extremely thin body for only 0.3 mm wide, weighing only 1 gram and a bendable curved dispaly. Huawei even made it water resistant that you can wash your hands while wearing it but it's not completely waterproof and a big plus for the battery life that Huawei puts in, it can charge for 2 hours and the TalkBand B1 will last for 6days, the band itself is the charger and you can charge it via usb.

The Korean company LG is teasing it’s MWC 2014 or Mobile World Congress event that’s happening in Barcelona this February 24-27.

MWC is one of the biggest technology showcase event that is happening next week February 24-27 in Barcelona.
